Nancy Short

Nancy Short joined MFR in January 2002 as a consultant on federal legislative issues following her retirement from a 32-year career as a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Henry Hyde (R-IL).  During her years on the “Hill”, Ms. Short became familiar with every phase of work in a congressional office. She researched and worked on a multitude of legislative and constituent issues, including community projects seeking federal funding.

Ms. Short follows legislative activity on issues of interest to our clients – bills introduced, committee hearings, and House and Senate floor activity.  She also tracks competitive federal funding opportunities for our clients and assists in the preparation of correspondence and other materials in support of our clients’ projects.

An ardent animal lover, Ms. Short is a graduate of Strayer Business College.
